Bingo staff
Bingo games can range from small affairs,
to big time games in which huge halls are needed just
to accommodate the volume of players.
Smaller games can be staffed by just a few employees.
The bigger games often need more people to help them
run smoothly.
Some of the employees that may be found in the bingo
hall are as follows.
The caller:
This is obviously the most visible of all the casino
employees. It is the job of the caller to announce the
number and letter of every ball as it is drawn. In addition,
the caller has the responsibility of announcing the
type of game being played and the pattern needed to
achieve a winning bingo.
Runners and spotters:
When someone shouts ‘bingo’, it is the
job of the runner or spotter to ensure that the voice
is heard and that the game is paused until the players
win has been verified. The runner may then be responsible
for taking the winnings to the winner.
Cashiers and sellers:
These are the people responsible for taking the money
for the cards they sell. They are also responsible for
the final verification of the winning ticket and the
allocation of winnings.
