Bingo odds
These can vary from place to place. Each
bingo game has its own unique set of payback schedules.
And it is fair to say that they seem to be coming increasingly
unregulated.
The bingo halls know they must return enough money
to the players to keep them coming back, however, on
a game by game basis it is difficult to ascertain what
the odds may be for that particular game.
In many cases, it will be the policy of a bingo hall
not to publicise their odds. If this information was
available, the player could determine the odds they
face by comparing the gross house take (the amount of
revenue generated from the sale of cards), with the
amount paid back to the players in winnings.
For example, if a house takes £100 and pays back
£40 in winnings, then the game is operating at
a 40% house advantage.
